Adult Baptism Gifts: Meaningful Gifts for a New Believer

More adults are coming to faith and choosing to be baptised, and it's one of the most joyful moments a church family can share. If someone you love is being baptised as an adult, or has recently become a Christian, here are gift ideas that will encourage them in their new walk with God.

Why give a gift for an adult baptism?

An adult baptism is a public declaration of faith. A gift marks the day, shows the person they're supported, and gives them something to look back on when faith feels hard.

Meaningful adult baptism gifts

1. A personalised Bible

Many new believers don't own a Bible of their own yet. A Bible with their name and baptism date becomes the foundation of their faith journey. Our dark brown NIV Bible is laser engraved in our Australian workshop and is easy to read for new believers, while the personalised NKJV suits those who love a traditional style.

2. A large print Bible

For older adults being baptised, the NKJV Large Print Bible is much easier on the eyes.

3. A scripture keepsake for their home

A scripture serving board engraved with "Taste and See That the Lord is Good" is a beautiful daily reminder of their new life.

4. An icon or cross for a prayer corner

An icon altar with cross helps create a space for daily prayer.

What to put on the cover

Popular choices are the person's name and baptism date, or a verse such as "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come" (2 Corinthians 5:17) or "Live by faith, not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7). See more Bible personalisation ideas.

What to write in a card

Keep it simple and personal: tell them you're proud of their step of faith, that you'll pray for them, and share a verse that has meant a lot to you.
